Jun 23rd - Questioning ourselves

Image
Hey everyone! Glad to see you. If you don't know us, we are Elite Games, a small indie team, currently working on a Five Nights at Freddy's fangame called The Minigame Investigator. For more info about the project, click here. We have been hard at work lately, trying to learn new tools and trying to use them as best as possible.  We've also been reaching out to people on musescore.com to use their arrangements in the fangame (best to use something readily available than reverse engineering the source material). All people whose arrangements we use will be credited, such as anyone whose help we might use in the final game! In any case, we'd like to let something out for you guys to think about. If you remember correctly, the Fazbear Update was recently released . It introduced the main Fazbears (Freddy, Fredbear and Shadow Freddy) and gave us the maps for FNaF 1's location, even if they were still using vanilla Pokemon tiles. It was a great achievement for us: fi...

Jun 21st - A downgrade for an upgrade

Image
Hey everyone! Welcome back! We've made an update to the project recently, which we called the Fazbear Update, since it mainly introduced three variations of Freddy (Freddy Fazbear, Fredbear and Shadow Freddy), as well as a recreation of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza map, as seen in the FNaF 3 minigames, as well as other hidden minor features. If you haven't checked it out already, here's the full log.   There were a lot of things that were either missing or failing, both aesthetically but also in terms of game design. There's a good reason for that, though. This post is going to be a bit technical but we'll try to explain everything in the easiest way to understand. You may have seen in the "known issues" list a lot of problems. Here's an explanation for most of them. Unedited overworld sprites got their colour pallettes with wrong colours, resulting in horrible atrocities like this poor scientist.   This could be fixed if a new colour pal...

Patch v0.02.5 Alpha - The Fazbear Update!

Image
Over the last week, we have been hard at work in changing things on our project. A few of them are incomplete, some are hidden away. However, after today's heartbreaking news, it is only right that we open the box and show you what we have in store.   If you are interested in playing this version of the rom hack,  here is the thing . As always, you will need the original Fire Red 1.0 rom, and a .ups patcher. Please read both the features list AND the issues list before playing. Update includes: A new Freddy OW sprite (which will still be used by the Crush Girl trainer class)* An incomplete Foxy OW sprite (used by the male hero [Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire])* A Fredbear OW sprite (used by the Birdkeeper trainer class)* A Shadow Freddy OW sprite (used by the Beauty trainer class)* A plush Fredbear OW sprite (used by Kangaskan)* The FNaF 1's pizzeria (with placeholder tiles) The NES on the player's room turns the player into Freddy AND takes them to the pizzeria A version of Bonnie...

About Scott Cawthon's Retirement

Image
A few years ago, Scott Cwathon, creator of the Five Nights  at Freddy's series posted the following message on Steam: Earlier today, seven years after his first trailer for FNaF 1, Scott has retired. The series will eventually be under new management and will continue to evolve as time passes. If you want to read the whole retirement letter, click here. We, at Elite Games, have mixed feelings about the situation. It's almost unanimous in our team that it is next to impossible to be mad at Scott. As far as we know, his way of thinking has always been humble when refering to the community, especially after FNaF World (thank you so much for the Update 2, by the way) and his goals now are only to spend more time with his family, make games for fun again and just live the rest of his life. He will still be watching out for us (which is both gratifying and devastating, a bittersweet feeling I'm sure most FNaF fans will recognize) and we are glad to have been able to be part of th...

June 9th

Everyone in the team has been pretty busy recently and so we haven't been able to get much done. However, as of June 9th 2021, we are back to work on the rom hack! Fasten your springlocks, and remember to smile! You are now the face of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza!
